We’ve donated to this years’ Every poppy counts’ Royal British Legion Poppy appeal and taking part in the two minute silence on our door step at 11am to pay our respects to those who defended our country and to those that continue to do so.

2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the second world war. In May the 75th Anniversary of victory in Europe day (VE Day) was celebrated across the Uk and in August it was the 75th Anniversary of victory over Japan Day (VJ Day).

2020 has also been a year like no other. Where our own freedom has been and continues to be limited while we’re asked to stay at home to fight the invisible enemy – the ‘Covid-19’ Corona virus. We can only imagine what it must have been like for them to be asked to leave their homes to fight the enemy on the front lines not knowing if they’d return to their loved ones.

Lest we forget.
